This premier international hardware hackathon continues to be a beacon of ingenuity, addressing real-world challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork. HARD-WAR 3.0 brings together innovative thinkers from diverse fields and disciplines, inspiring participants to work collectively, explore new horizons, and push the boundaries of hardware development.

HISTORY

The School of Computer Science at UPES has a distinguished history of promoting innovation through its HARD-WAR series of international hardware hackathons.

HARD-WAR 2.0 was a three-month-long event themed "Rethinking Sustainability," attracting over 50 teams, including international participants. Teams engaged in rigorous competition, utilizing advanced tools, materials, and expert mentorship to develop sustainable hardware solutions. The grand finale featured evaluations by our esteemed Chief Guest,Dr. Harish Karnatak from ISRO, and jury members, Dr. Prabhat Kumar, Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr. Madhuben Sharma, Mr. Ankit Katiyar, and Mr. Lakshay Gupta. This event underscored UPES's commitment to innovation and sustainability, fostering collaboration and excellence among future innovators.

HARD-WAR 1.0 set the stage for this success with a month-long event where over 70 teams, including 12 international teams showcased their hardware and IoT projects. Participants were equipped with cutting-edge technology and mentorship, culminating in a final evaluation on April 25, 2022.. The event featured Chief Guest Dr. Gaurav Gupta and was organized in collaboration with international partners Yonsei University and Unifacvest University Center.

Together, these events highlight UPES's dedication to pushing the boundaries of hardware ingenuity, addressing real-world challenges, and inspiring the next generation of creative thinkers.
